The body of this bass guitar is made of mahogany, a rare wood type in the Ibanez world of guitars, making this guitar very light in weight. This wood also has a beneficial influence on the sustain and sound of the guitar, making it warmer and fuller. PFR-N4 and PFR-B4 model pickups can be found on this instrument, providing the bass with an extra stable sound. Sharlee D'Angelo: legendary bass player
The man, the myth, the legend: Sharlee D'Angelo is world-famous in the metal genre, especially amongst bass players. D'Angelo has played in several bands, including Arch Enemy and Spiritual Beggers. When D'Angelo switched to Ibanez bass guitars, this guitar was made as a tribute. In other words, Ibanez thanked D'Angelo for his support and for using their bass guitars by creating a model just for him.
